At The Nestled Coop, we believe purchasing a chicken coop, garden shed, or outdoor structure should be clear, honest, and completely stress-free. A heavy-duty structure is a major investment in your flock or property, and our goal is to ensure you know exactly how your order is fulfilled, shipped, and placed—with zero unexpected freight charges or hidden fees at checkout.

All structures and products sold on our website include free shipping within the 48 contiguous United States. Due to freight carrier and flat-pack shipping limitations, we do not currently ship to Alaska or Hawaii.

All-In Pricing Based on Your ZIP Code

To provide accurate and transparent pricing, total delivered costs are calculated based on your destination ZIP code. Once your ZIP code is entered, the price displayed on the product page reflects the total delivered cost to your location.

This price includes all freight and standard shipping fees. For fully assembled structures from The Hen House Collection, the all-in price also includes professional on-site placement directly onto your property. The price you see after entering your ZIP code is the complete price you pay.

1. Amish-Built Hen House Collection (Fully Assembled Delivery & Placement)

All Hen House Collection coops are handcrafted by experienced Amish builders in Pennsylvania and arrive fully built prior to delivery. They are complete, finished structures that do not require customer assembly on site.

  • Fulfillment & Lead Time: Because these structures are custom-built to order by Amish craftsmen, lead times typically range from 3 to 6 weeks (up to 8 weeks during peak seasonal volume).
  • Delivery Method: Large Amish-built coops are delivered using specialized shed trailers equipped with maneuverable placement tools.
  • On-Site Placement Included: The delivery team maneuvers and places the fully assembled coop directly onto your chosen property location.
  • Site Preparation: The placement area must be clear, accessible, and reasonably level. For larger walk-in models, a compacted gravel base or concrete pad is highly recommended for proper drainage and long-term stability.

2. EZ-Fit Kits (Garden Sheds & Outdoor Structures)

Our EZ-Fit Kits (including garden sheds and workshops) are handcrafted in Ohio with authentic Amish woodworking principles and heavy-duty LP SmartSide siding.

  • Fulfillment & Delivery: EZ-Fit structures ship flat-packed in protective crates via nationwide liftgate freight lines. Curbside freight delivery is included in the contiguous United States.
  • Assembly Requirements: EZ-Fit Kits feature pre-assembled panelized wall sections designed for straightforward DIY assembly using standard homeowner tools. They are not delivered fully assembled like the Hen House Collection.
  • Delivery Logistics: The freight carrier will contact you in advance to schedule a delivery appointment. Deliveries are made to your driveway or curb via liftgate truck.

3. Flat-Packed Coop Kits (The Smart Coop & The Chicken Coop Co.)

Products from The Smart Coop (including AI-automated coops) and The Chicken Coop Co. are precision-engineered kits designed for direct-to-door parcel delivery.

  • Fulfillment & Shipping Time: Orders typically ship out within 1 to 3 business days via standard ground carriers (FedEx / UPS). Delivery takes approximately 3 to 7 business days depending on destination.
  • Assembly Requirements: These units ship flat-packed in multiple reinforced boxes and require customer assembly. Detailed printed instructions, video assembly guides, and all required hardware are included in every shipment.
  • Multi-Box Tracking: Because kits ship in multiple boxes, packages may arrive on consecutive days. Individual tracking numbers are provided for each box.

4. Flock Accessories & Feed (CoopWorx & Mile Four)

Everyday essentials such as CoopWorx Feed & Water Silos and Mile Four Organic Poultry Feed ship flat-rate or free via standard UPS, FedEx, or USPS ground services. Items dispatch rapidly within 1–2 business days.

EZ-Fit Sheds & Greenhouses

EZ-Fit provides a 10-Year Limited Conditional Structural Warranty to the original purchaser, alongside individual material manufacturer coverage:

  • 10-Year Core Structural Warranty: Guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and manufacturing for 10 years from the delivery date.
  • 2-Year Hardware & Accessories Warranty: Door hardware, hinges, cupolas, and metal components are covered for 2 years.
  • 50-Year Material Warranty: LP SmartSide siding and engineered wood panels carry an extended 50-year limited manufacturer warranty against fungal decay and termites.
  • Warranty Remedy: If a component is found to be defective, EZ-Fit will repair, replace, or reimburse the value of the component at its discretion.

The Hen House Collection

  • 1-Year Structural Workmanship Warranty: Covers all defects related to Amish construction, joinery, and assembly.
  • 10-Year Material Warranty: Backed by manufacturer warranties covering LP SmartSide, LP SmartFloor, and roofing materials.

The Smart Coop & The Chicken Coop Co.

  • Hardware & Defect Coverage: Covered under manufacturer warranties against structural or mechanical hardware defects upon arrival. Includes a 30-day satisfaction guarantee for verified faulty or unopened Smart Coop units.

Return & Satisfaction Policies

  • Parcel Kits & Smart Coops: The Smart Coop includes a 30-day satisfaction guarantee for verified faulty or unopened units. Prior Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is required before returning any unit. If returned open, assembled, or non-defective, a 50% restocking fee applies to offset freight shipping costs.
  • Custom Built & Assembled Structures: Because Amish-built structures (Hen House Collection) are custom built-to-order, orders cannot be cancelled or returned once construction has commenced or delivery has taken place except under manufacturer warranty claims.
